So, Kerrilyn wasn't exactly having the best day of her life. It had seemed that all her friends had sort of just disappeared off the face of the planet. Though this may not have necessarily been true, that was certainly how it felt. Honestly, where was everyone? As usual on a day like that, when it was mostly sunny and fairly warm out, she decided to go to the park for a little while, and attempt to alleviate herself of this boredom that didn't seem to be going away. Maybe it was just because she seemed to be cooped up by herself for a while, and needed to get out, or maybe she really was a pathetic loser who happened to have no friends whatsoever. She certainly hoped it was the former, as being thought of as pathetic would probably make her look really bad and as if she needed some kind of sympathy, which she didn't at all.
Walking down to the park, dressed in a tank top, a pair of jeans and a pair of flats, Kerrilyn put on her pink ipod nano, to the song 'Paper Planes' by M.I.A., she realized that it would have been easier to fly down there on her broom. But she probably needed the exercise. Arriving at the park, there weren't really all that many people there, not surprisingly, but rather than do anything active, she chose to play passive and sit on the bench for a little bit. After all, doing nothing could be fun once in a while, especially when she hadn't been outside in what seemed like forever. Maybe it was just a day or two, but it seemed practically like an eternity.
Taking a seat, it was interesting just to watch everyone else there, just doing whatever they pleased. Kerrilyn pretty much had no energy to do anything whatsoever, so she figured that possibly by seeing what the rest of the people were doing, and enjoying themselves, would possibly make it easier for her to live vicariously through them. Oh fuck, who was she kidding? She was just lame and pathetic for even coming down here, she was alone on a bench listening to music. Probably anybody else that came down there would think that she was just lonely and had nothing better to do. And sadly enough, that was the truth. She had no friends, and really hated the fact that she was constantly by herself doing nothing. Sitting back in the bench, she watched the world go by, trying not to make herself feel even worse than she already did. [/blockquote]

As the sunlight streamed through his dorm room window, Alex's eyes cracked open. He kicked off his bed covers, and rolled out of bed. He yawned and stretched his arms above his head, and tried to decide whether he should take a shower or not. He knew that if he didn't, his hair would be a mess pretty much all day, and that he didn't want. Realizing that he had just answered his own question rather quickly, Alex yawned once more and walked into the bathroom, still half-asleep.
After a long, cold shower, Alex wrapped a towel around himself, and walked over to the wardrobe. He opened it, and took out a red t-shirt with a black printed design on it, a pair of dark jeans and his favorite pair of converses. Alex shrugged his clothes on, put on a pair of socks and then laced up his converses, which always took quite a long time for him to accomplish. When he had done it, he got up, walked over to the free-standing mirror, and looked at his reflection staring back at him. Still unhappy about his hair, he decided to straighten it. He walked over to the bed, took his straighteners out from underneath it and plugged them in. He sat down on the bed, and straightened his hair, which only took him five minutes, as he had done it so many times before. Turning them off, Alex stood up and looked into the mirror once more. This time, his reflection smiled back at him. Before leaving, Alex grabbed his iPod from the top of the wardrobe, and stuffed it into his pocket.
Stepping out of his dorm room, Alex walked down the spiral staircase and out of the building. He took in a deep breath of fresh, morning air, and tried to decide where he wanted to go. He realized that wherever he went, there wouldn't be many people, but as long as there was somebody he knew, Alex really couldn't care less. After a long, careful consideration, he decided to go to the park. He took his iPod from his pocket, placed it on shuffle and put both of his headphones in, not wanting to be disturbed by the outside world. Alex nodded at a few of his fellow vampires as he walked past, not really wanting to stop and have a big conversation with anybody.
After a relaxing and enjoyable fifteen minute walk, Alex arrived at the park. All the flowers were just beginning to burst into life. The sun smiled down on them, making them all stand tall and proud. Alex looked around for someone he knew and, after a good, long look he found someone - Kerrilyn. Alex wasn't about to deny it, he had feelings for her. But he couldn't figure out what they were supposed to mean. Shrugging his thoughts away,he put his iPod back into his pocket, walked over to the bench and sat down next to her. Alex took one of her headphones out. "Hey, you." He said through a smile. He gave Kerrilyn her headphone back and sank down into the bench, enjoying the beautiful weather.
